First off, the service was excellent and the staff was super friendly. We went on a Sunday just after noon and sat outside since the weather was nice. Very nice atmosphere inside and out.

Now the food was amazing!! I had smothered pork chops with red beans n rice and collard greens... all tasted great. My wife and daughter had catfish with cheese grits and mac n cheese.... best cheese grits I've ever had!! Catfish was pretty good to me but I'm not big on catfish but my wife and daughter loved it. Mac n cheese tasted great also.

Loved it!! Will definitely be going back and getting my own cheese grits this time.

The worst restaurant experience I've had in quite some time. I will give credit to the girls working up front as they were working hard but were hamstrung by a poorly run kitchen. We ordered a shrimp po'boy and the grilled tilapia and shrimp plate; the restaurant was fairly busy and we were told it would take about 20-25 minutes for our food to be ready.

At about the 50 minute mark, the po'boy arrived with stale, lukewarm fries that had clearly been sitting for quite some time, and shrimp in the sandwich that was legitimately cold. 15 more minutes went by and the other plate was still nowhere to be seen. We were ultimately refunded for our meals but after over an hour of waiting, we left before we could be disappointed by that dish too.

I would hope the food is better once the kitchen gets it figured out but I won't be returning to find out.

Really good food BUT... really bad service! It's my 2nd time here and I almost forgot I wanted to give them only 3 stars because of the delicious cornbread. It's THAT good.   But not good enough...

So the first time I was here I didn't get to try the cornbread, which I found out from my coworkers was complementary if you dine in. My coworkers and I were on our lunch break so we couldn't wait for them to bring it out. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was to die for! It took a long time for our orders to come out but I thought it was worth it. So much so that I wanted to go back, not just for the cornbread, but for other items on the menu. Besides I thought it was understandable due to the lunch hour rush and the number of customers they had at that time.

Today, we arrived on a Sunday at half past 1, and the lunch crowd was almost nonexistent. I really wanted to try the cornbread so we were going to order it as a side for one of our plates. However, the cashier convinced us not to because she said we would get it for free. I don't know if we would've gotten it any sooner if we had paid for it, but who knows.

Anyway, our food came out after waiting for around 15 minutes but I thought that was ok since we were a slightly bigger party of 7. Hubby and I ordered the tri-tip salad and the fried catfish, both of which were excellent, despite the meager amount of tartar sauce they had with the catfish.

What I really didn't appreciate was the time and effort it took to get a to-go box and our free cornbread. We've been done eating for 20 minutes before they came out and they served cornbread to the new customers before they served us! We asked 3 different servers for the box and cornbread and no one bothered to bring either for so long. They really tested our patience! My nephew asked someone at the counter for a box but she never gave him anything. My husband finally went to the counter and asked for the box himself.

We were going to leave them a nice tip at the table but we changed our mind after they wasted our time. The cornbread was super good, don't get me wrong, but no food is good enough if the service is this bad! I don't know if it's just me, but it really seemed like they were ignoring us but we're very attentive to other guests. A few members of our party thought they might be prejudiced against Asians (boo!)

I don't know if I'll ever go back... I really want to try other items on their menu but if their quality of service depends upon the color of your skin, my rational self tells me to stay far, far away.

After thinking about it some more, I'm giving them 2 stars instead because there's just no excuse for bad service!

I was excited to try this restaurant out. It's located in the Long Beach Exchange area, so it's a new building and has great design. The service was really good, the line wasn't too long when I arrived. I ordered the Fried Chicken with salad and french fries. I thought the food was okay, it wasn't the best I've ever had, but I'd go again. I was disappointed in the salad dressing selection, usually, restaurants like this have yummy homemade salad dressings you can't replicate. This felt like the regular kind I could buy at the grocery store.

I've been hearing good things about Georgias. My friends and I decided to get some lunch here on a warm Sunday afternoon. Warm welcomings as we entered the door. The menu is on the wall. After you order, you'll find a table and the food will be brought to you.

I've heard the fried chicken is really good and not greasy so I went with the chicken and waffles.  My friend had the hanger steak with a side of mac 'n cheese and garlic rice. I also really wanted to try collard greens. I really enjoyed the fried chicken. It was baked and the skin was so crispy and not a thick batter while the dark meat was just juicy and tender. Taking every scoop with some fluffy waffles and a light dip of the maple syrup made for a perfect bite. My friend really enjoyed her steak. I had a piece of it and loved the chimichurri sauce that topped it. The mac 'n cheese was really good too. Definitely can be a dish for the kiddos.

I loved the t-shirt the staffs wore. On the back, it says, "Soul-delicious." That's one statement that is true at Georgias. The staffs have soul hospitality and the food was soul delicious. I look forward to my next visit with my husband.
